The first thing that comes to mind when I see this jersey is Jean Paul Gaultier, he is sort of famous for nautical blue and white jersey. Anyway apart from the Gaultier reference, this is an amazing piece for winter. It looks fresh and crisp and like (and I know I use this reference a LOT!) you would be wearing this on your yacht.
I have to give a shout out to my close friend Hayden who is the model in this pic. He HATES shopping. So one day we went shopping and the only thing he liked in the ENTIRE MALL was this jersey. THE. ENTIRE. MALL. Well, this jersey and some stupid running gear from Nike.

What is the obvious backlash to the nautical stripe trend that we have been seeing for which feels like forever? Polka dots of course! As beautifully shown on this Holmes Brothers for Mr Price polo shirt.
I LOVE this shirt. It is just all kinds of fun. This shirt conjures up an image of drinking cocktails at a bar which looks like it comes straight out of Cocktail, or Eden Paradise (which was a reality tv show I was ADDICTED to mucho mucho years ago).
So although it is winter, you can still wear this shirt in your lovely heated home, rocking some sunnies and a low-fat, carb free, sugar free, wheat free, virgin cocktail.

I know I just spoke about cable knits, which I love. Now my love for turtle neck / polo necks dont run as deep as my love for the cable knit. There is that very fine line between looking like a complete dork / poor person, or looking like a model when wearing a turtle neck.
Being a short person and not a 7’8 model from Sweden, making a turtle neck is a little tricky. But anyway, just look at this thick, turtle neck, colour blocking creation I found at Woolworths!

Cable knit jerseys…. so much love for them. As all my friends know, and who ever reads this blog, I LOVE WINTER. Ironically enough Bananarama’s Cruel Summer is playing on my iTunes as I am typing this. No jokes.
Look at this more watered down cable knit detail jersey from Markhams. AND it is beige, which is always the colour I imagine chunky jerseys in.

Shoes, shoes, shoes. I love the fact that all the shops have caught on to the formal shoe craze.
Theses shoes are a little formal, a little casual and a lot of fun!
It is very early, dont blame me if I am not making sense.

Cotton on must be doing well. This assumption I am making on the fact that they have added a whole stationary/novelty section to their store. And that they offer mens shoes now. Not the biggest selection but the shoes are HOT.
Like this pair, which will look amazing with the tapered, sweat-pant/formal chinos thing that they also sell.

Don’t stone me. I know horizontal stripes arent groundbreaking anymore. But I was shopping with my friend Daniel last night and we went to Zara a couple of times mainly because he was looking for a specific coat, which after the 4th time was, wait for it, still not there. Love you my Daniel!!
So somewhere in between this to and fro, in and out of Zara, which confused the security guards more than it did us, I spotted this top. There is something about having a pattern on the top part of a jersey that just speaks to me.
And this will look great underneath a jacket, or a coat from Zara.

I get very envious about all the options women have with regards to dressing. I mean they can just do what ever they want to do. Wear a dress, wear a skirt, dress like a man, dress like a man who dresses like a woman. I swear they could probably also wear animal collars and no one would think it strange.
What I am getting at is that my wonderful beautiful friend Taryn bought these jeans at Jay Jay’s, and she bought them in 3 different colours. And I know she can rock them with heels, or flats, with a skirt over, even with a freaking collar around her thigh!
But, lets get back to the item of clothing. It’s a beautiful colour, and it is cheap. Tick.

Word on the street is that there is a new shoe shop in Menlyn. Well it is not actually word on the street because the shop is actually there, and they do actually sell cheap shoes. A reader of the blog sent me pics and info about this shop, since I dont usually get to Menlyn.
Although I dont know anything about the stock the shop has, I do know that these those that he sent through are pretty cool and pretty cheap.
Thanks for the head up Peter :)

I am a little confused as to if this is a normal ohsocheap post, or a ohsofemme post. Hear me out readers, hear me out.
Yes I do post clothes that I find which are reasonably priced, and yes they are mostly menswear. But as I was waiting for my friends Clayton and Daniel to pay for his stuff at Cotton On, I spotted this ring at the check out counter. And I will not lie, I would TOTALLY buy this ring. I didnt, which probably says something, but if I had some great black boots and skinny black jeans to go with it I would have totally bought it. (I actually have boots and skinny black jeans, but lets pretend I dont).
I will let all of you make up your own mind about this item.
